German Chocolate Frosting

My Rating: 5 Stars

1 can evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter (1 1/2 cube)
4 egg yolks (or 2 whole eggs) beaten well
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (7 oz.) Angel Flake coconut
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Mix milk, sugar, butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla in large saucepan. Cook and stir about 12 minutes or until thickened and golden brown. Remove from heat. Start timing when it starts boiling. Keep it gently boiling and stir the whole 12 minutes.

Stir in coconut and pecans. Allow to cool until thick enough for spreading. It thickens more as it cools.
